A List of Feminine Tattoos You Can Choose From

When it comes to feminine tattoos, you will find that it often goes beyond the simple girly design or the cutesy drawing that some women get on their bodies. Feminine tattoos do not necessarily mean tattoos that are girly in nature. The tattoos that you can call feminine may not actually be feminine in design at all but are called feminine simply because they are found in areas of the body where women sport them and men don't. Examples of such areas where women may sport tattoos and men usually don't include the ankles, the foot and the lower back. Here are some prime examples of tattoos that are feminine according to location and according to design elements as well:

- Lower Back Tattoos - these tattoos can be easily considered feminine tattoos due to their location and due to the fact that these can be only seen when a woman sports a low riding pair of pants, shorts, bikini bottom or skirt and a waist baring top. You won't see men in these kinds of outfits so lower back tattoos seem to be the domain of women and can be considered part of the list of tattoos women can choose from. You will find that even tribal tattoos that men wear on their arms or abdomen can become feminine looking if worn by women on their lower backs.

- Butterfly and Flower tattoos - obviously very feminine tattoos, you will find these kinds of tattoos on many different parts of a woman's body. This includes parts that men also choose to have tattoos placed on like the upper arm, the upper back, the neck, the lower abdomen and the chest. Since flowers and butterflies are decidedly feminine, even if women get these tattoos on areas that men also have tattoos etched on, these will still come off as feminine to the eyes of the beholder.

- Fairies and Pixies - these are also considered feminine tattoos due to their rather girly appeal and allusion to fairy tales which is viewed as a rater feminine domain when it comes to adulthood. You will seldom, if not, find a man with such designs on their skin.
